Karawara

Spanning one square kilometre, Karawara is a small suburb that has undergone substantial renewal in recent times. Karawara’s primary development began in the 1950s, with significant growth occurring through to the 1960s. More recently Karawara has experienced notable growth between 2001 and 2011.

Karawara offers a relaxed lifestyle close to bustling inner-city areas. Featuring bushland, a park and a lake within its parameters, Karawara residents enjoy plenty of charming, native vistas. The commercial and retail requirements of locals are taken care of by the Waterford Plaza Shopping Centre, while the George Burnett Leisure Centre provides recreational facilities. Also in the suburb is student housing for the nearby Curtin University.
